Child safety standards

What we do not tolerate

We do not tolerate any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexual extortion, the sexualisation of minors, or attempts to use the platform to contact minors. Any violation leads to immediate removal of the content, permanent closure of the account and a report to the relevant authorities.

How we keep children off the platform

  • A minimum age of 18 at sign-up (date of birth, locked after the first registration; a server-side minimum age of 18 for participation).
  • Photo verification of every user before their profile becomes visible to others.
  • Google Play’s and Apple’s age ratings are respected; users whom the stores classify as minors cannot install the app.
  • If a minor is nonetheless detected, the account is closed immediately and the profile data is deleted.

How we detect and remove illegal content

  • Automated moderation of all profile photos and shared images BEFORE they are shown (fail-closed: if an image cannot be assessed, it is not shown). The category “minors in media” is a hard category with no exceptions.
  • Automated text moderation of messages, with an escalating ladder of sanctions and human review of serious findings.
  • Human review of all reports in a prioritised queue; CSAE reports are handled first.

How you can report

  • In the app: “Report” on any profile, message, thread or call → the category “Content involving minors”. Reports are anonymous to the person reported.
  • Outside the app: privacy@zofound.com. We respond and act as quickly as possible; CSAE reports are handled the same day.

How we report to the authorities

  • Confirmed or probable CSAM is reported to the relevant authorities and hotlines: in Denmark to the police (NC3) and Red Barnet’s AnmeldDet hotline; in Germany to the BKA (Zentralstelle) and jugendschutz.net / eco-Beschwerdestelle; across the EU via the INHOPE network; and to NCMEC’s CyberTipline where relevant. We preserve evidence to the extent the law requires, and only for that purpose.
  • We cooperate with authorities and trusted flaggers under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) and applicable national law (DK/DE).
